For the first time since I can remember, I have no Valentine to call my own this February 14th.
In keeping with my single New Years Resolution, (to be more positive) I am going to turn this sucky situation into a positive one and go all out to celebrate that weird looking little dude with the bow and arrow… (Eros/Cupid) and I want you to get involved.
I love Valentines Day, I don’t even care if it all stems back to Hallmark being a bit bored after Christmas and just making stuff up to boost profits. If you have someone special in your life and can’t be bothered to even buy them a card or make them a brew on Valentines day, you’re a miso. (Scouse for miserable sod)
In the past I’ve gone the whole nine yards. I’ve bought balloons, cards, chocolates, made dinner, planned trips….I even proposed once! (Anyone who knows me will not be surprised by this admission whatsoever) So it’s safe to say I’m feeling a little redundant this year. Of course I’ll spoil my little dudes, and their nursery help them to make beautiful handmade cards, which is more than enough for me.
So this year I’m going to open my blog space to all the lovers out there. The space is all yours.
